Inspiring Ideas for the Teaching & Learning of Law

Vickie, I really enjoyed seeing your site pop up on the ILTL Facebook page. I'm even more excited to see your job title! As someone who has taught across a big swath of higher education - government and business, undergraduate and graduate, now International LLM, community college to private liberal arts college to Temple Law - as an adjunct and who regularly wanderers across that landscape concurrently, I'm excited that good teaching ideas are working their way into the law school setting. I'll be a regular reader! JOHN MCARDLE
The "Transparency" feature of Vickie's program/website stuck a timely chord. Just this year, after many more than I'll admit to, I provided my desired learning outcomes, what they'll be able to do by the end of the course, and last year's final exam: (1) on the overhead in class & (2) on my acadademic website. As is typical for my upper division electives, one-third of the class dropped---or had already done so before day one, when I sent them this information (by e-mail) the week before classes started.
